6 mistakes to avoid when using nue

1. Not Choosing the Right Tape for Your Skin Type

Off the bat, one of the biggest mistakes you can make when selecting a breast tape is choosing one that doesn't match your skin tone. Settling for a white, black or generic "skin" color can be the downfall of your outfit. Wearing a shade with such a stark contrast to your natural skin color is a surefire way to ruin an outfit. No matter the color of your dress or top, the tape will inevitably show through your clothes.

Pro Tip:  If you’re unsure whether the light shade is right for you, take our What's Your Shade Quiz  to determine the perfect match for your skin tone and outfit choices!

RECOMMENDED PRODUCT

  • A hypoallergenic, latex-free, easy-to-remove breast lift tape.
  • Available in 4 natural skin tones.
  • 16.5-foot roll will last you multiple uses, depending on your bust size and needs.
  • One size fits all.

2. Not Pre-Planning For Your Outfit Selection

Once you've picked out your dress or shirt, decide the best application style to best complement your neckline. For plunging styles with covered shoulders, consider applying tape in our Holster stylewhich starts under the breast and lifts up toward the shoulder. For thin straps or strapless looks, our Bandeau stylewhich extends across the chest from the outside of one breast to the other—provides plenty of cleavage and support.

Pro Tip: If you're unsure of what style to apply, take our Outfit Calculator Quiz.

3. Cutting More Than You Need

Nue's Boob Job In A Box is a skin-safe tape that provides a natural-looking lift. The tape boasts plenty of stretch, which allows you to sculpt your body, while still having a natural bounce. However, with so much stretch in our tape, it can be easy to cut strips that are too long. Use our roll design to trim exactly the size you need for your breast size and body type, keeping in mind the tape stretches.

4. Not Conducting A Patch Test

Although Nue's products are created with sensitive-skin girlies in mind, it's a good idea to always get in the habit of conducting patch tests. This goes for everything from breast tape to a new skincare products—you never know how your skin will react to anything

To conduct a test patch, cut a small square of Nue's Boob Job In A Box and place it on the side of your breast. Let it sit on your skin for as long as possible before removing. If you don't experience redness or irritation (which you most likely wont), you're good to go!

5. Stretching The Tape Too Much

Sure, you want to lift your breasts as much as possible, but stretching the tape too much can lead to skin irritation or lumpy results. If the tape is stretched until it appears transparent, loosen the application. For more lift without the stretch, apply a second or third (or, even a fourth) piece, gently pulling in an upward motion. Imagine you're sculpting the breast with each piece of tape, rather than strapping them up in place.

6. Removal: Ripping It Off Like A Band-Aid

It can feel instinctual to rip your breast tape off like a Band-Aid at the end of the night. However, it's best to move slowly, gently starting at the edges and working your way in. If you're feeling extra sensitive (which can also happen around that time of the month), soak the tape in your favorite oil, like a body oil or even coconut oil. Let it soak for up to five minutes to melt away the adhesive. Then, the tape should just slide off.

Pro Tip: Since Nue's boob tape is waterproof, don't wear it into the shower as a removal method.

"I am honestly SHOOK with the results. It is very comfortable and provides so much lift, especially being an H cup! The Nue Brand boob tape is my new best friend!" —Saterra, Nue Customer
